Certain child restraint systems may experience slippage of the adjustment webbing at the centre front adjuster mechanism, which can potentially result in loosening of the harness system. If the harness system loosens, the resulting slack may reduce the effectiveness of the restraint system in a crash. Consumers are advised to call Dorel Juvenile Group at 1-866-446-2628 or email at harnessadjustment@djgusa.com to request a repair kit, which contains a non-toxic, food-grade lubricant to be applied to the centre front adjuster.

2009-2010 Cadillac CTS
Vehicles affected: 2,247
On certain vehicles, a wax coating applied to the rear suspension toe link jam nuts may allow them to loosen. Should this occur, a metallic clanking noise may be heard coming from the rear of the vehicle. Ignoring this warning could result in a further loosened toe link, which could eventually separate and allow the rear wheel to turn inboard or outboard. Dealers will clean all wax residue and install two new jam nuts. If required, the rear suspension toe link will be replaced.

2010 Toyo Tourevo LS II 245/45R18
2010 Toyo Versado CUV 235/55R18, 235/55R20, 245/55R19, 255/65R18
2010 Toyo Versado LX II 215/60R16
Units affected: 3,351
Certain tires may have been manufactured using a rubber chemical mix that did not meet design specifications. As a result, sections of the tread may detach during use. Dealers will replace affected tires.

2009-2010 Honda Fit
Vehicles affected: 14,640
On certain vehicles, a spring in the lost motion spring assemblies in the valve train may bind, and as a result, the lost motion spring could fracture. In the worst case, parts from a broken spring could become caught in the camshaft, causing the engine to stall and not restart. Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the four lost motion spring assemblies.

2010 Ford Ranger
Vehicles affected: 1,616
On certain vehicles equipped with a 2.3-litre engine, the fuel line in the area of the throttle body shield may not have the protective convolute properly installed. If so, the fuel line may contact the edge of the shield, which over time may chafe the fuel line, resulting in a fuel leak. Dealers will trim the throttle body shield, inspect the fuel line for damage, and replace the line if necessary.

2005-2006 Ford F-150
Vehicles affected: 8,780
On certain vehicles, the airbag clockspring jumper wire may be oriented in a way that allows contact with the lower horn mounting plate. In this position, the wire insulation may chafe, exposing bare copper and creating the potential for a short circuit. Should this occur, the airbag warning lamp will illuminate and in some instances, the driver’s airbag could inadvertently deploy. Dealers will install an updated clockspring jumper wire that incorporates a protective mesh cover.

2003-2006 Chevrolet Avalanche
2003-2007 Chevrolet Silverado
2003-2006 Chevrolet Suburban
2003-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe
2003-2007 GMC Sierra
2003-2006 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL
Vehicles affected: 190,310
On certain vehicles, the interface between the electrical terminals of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) blower relay resister module and its wiring connector may be incapable of conducting higher current levels for sustained periods of operation. In addition, moisture and other contaminants may enter the fresh air intake plenum and contact the module’s internal circuit or corrode the terminals. This may cause the module or connector to overheat, causing such symptoms as the HVAC not functioning on certain or all blower speed settings; smoke or a smell of burning plastic; or the HVAC blower may run continually when the ignition is in the off position. In certain instances, these warnings could be leading indicators of an impending vehicle fire. Owners will be provided with additional warranty coverage for the blower motor resistor module/wiring connector overheating condition. Under this special coverage, should this condition occur within 10 years or 240,000 km from first vehicle registration, dealers will install a replacement blower motor resistor and resistor module connector.

2010 Mazda B-Series
Vehicles affected: 922
On certain vehicles equipped with a 2.3-litre engine, the fuel line in the area of the throttle body shield may not have the protective convolute properly installed. If so, the fuel line may contact the edge of the shield, which over time may chafe the fuel line, resulting in a fuel leak. Dealers will trim the throttle body shield, inspect the fuel line for damage, and replace the line if necessary.

2006-2007 Lexus GS350 AWD
Vehicles affected: 852
On certain vehicles, if the floor carpet near the accelerator pedal is not reinstalled correctly following a service repair, the plastic pad embedded into the floor carpet could interfere with the operation of the accelerator pedal. If this occurs, the pedal could temporarily become stuck in a partially depressed position. Dealers will modify the plastic pad.

2004-2007 Lexus RX330
2004-2007 Lexus RX350
2004-2007 Lexus RX400h
2004-2006 Toyota Highlander
2004-2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid
Vehicles affected: 30,000
On certain vehicles, if the forward retention clip used to secure the floor carpet cover in front of the centre console is not installed properly, the cover may lean toward the accelerator pedal and interfere with the operation of the accelerator pedal arm. If this occurs, the accelerator pedal could temporarily become stuck in a partially depressed position. Dealers will replace the floor carpet cover with a newly-designed version. Note that this campaign also covers vehicles which may have previously been included in recall 2006168.

2003-2009 Toyota 4Runner
2006-2010 Toyota RAV4
Vehicles affected: 115,600
On certain vehicles, the accelerator pedal may become stuck in the wide-open position due to an unsecured or incompatible driver’s floor mat. Dealers will modify or replace the accelerator pedal. Note that this is an expansion of recall 2009290 for vehicles not previously included in the campaign.

2011 Lexus LX570
Vehicles affected: 850
On certain vehicles, if the driver’s all-weather floor mat is not secured by the retaining clips or is placed on top of an existing carpeted floor mat, the mat could move forward and interfere with the accelerator pedal. Dealers will modify or replace the accelerator pedal, as well as the genuine Lexus all-weather floor mat. Note that this is an expansion of recall 2009359 for vehicles not previously included in the campaign.
