Ottawa, Ontario – Transport Canada has issued its latest recalls, which may affect some Ferrari and Mazda vehicles, and some Cosco child seats.

2005-2006-2007 Ferrari F430 Spider
Vehicles affected: 172

On certain vehicles, heat generated by the engine could cause hairline cracks in the hydraulic lines of the convertible roof. This could cause fluid leakage into the engine compartment, resulting in smoke and/or a vehicle fire. Dealers will install protective heat shields.

2007-2008-2009 Mazda CX-9
Vehicles affected: 3,510

On certain vehicles equipped with a power seat and position memory function, the seat wiring harness may be subject to chafe damage. As a result, the harness covering may be damaged, allowing the core wire to contact a bracket and cause an electrical short circuit. In the worst case, certain functions such as seat position, height adjustment and seatback reclining may be activated unexpectedly, and be uncontrollable. Dealers will inspect and secure the harness as required, and if necessary, the harness covering will be repaired, or the harness will be replaced.

2008-2009 Cosco Scenera 22123CCAD
Units affected: 2,301

On certain child seats, the English label incorrectly states that the weight range for the rear-facing model is 2.3 to 14 kg (5 to 30 lbs). The correct weight range should read 2.3 to 16 kg (5 to 35 lbs). Owners will be provided with an updated label and installation instructions.
