Transport Canada and NHTSA seek public input on motorcoach safety

Washington, D.C. – Transport Canada and the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced they will hold a public meeting on April 30 to review whether motorcoach (intercity buses) occupant protection standards need to be changed.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for NHTSA and Transport Canada to hear the views and comments of manufacturers, operators, users, interest groups, and the public at large.

The meeting will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the meeting room of the National Transportation Safety Board, 429 L’Enfant Plaza, S.W., Washington, DC.
