Toyota signs agreement with Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion

Toronto, Ontario – Toyota Canada has signed a three-year agreement to join Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion as a Distinguished Partner.

“I’m pleased that Toyota Canada is partnering with Rick Hansen Man In Motion Foundation to help enhance the quality of life of Canadians living with spinal cord injuries,” said Toyota Canada president and CEO Ken Tomikawa. “The third annual Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion events are scheduled to take place this Sunday, June 12. Wheels In Motion provides a good opportunity for Toyota Canada to continue making a difference in communities across the country where our associates and dealers live and work.”

People of all ages and abilities are expected to wheel, bike, skate, run or walk to raise awareness and funds to help improve the quality of life of people living with spinal cord injuries. Since its inception, Wheels In Motion has raised over $1.8 million, half of which goes directly to improve the quality of life for people living with spinal cord injuries in communities where the event is held. The other half is directed to research.
