Toyota recalls Echos in North America
Tokyo, Japan – Toyota Motor Corporation is recalling 48,568 Echos exported to Canada and the United States because a rear brake line pipe may break and leak brake fluid if ice and snow gets stuck inside the rear wheel. The affected cars were made between July 2001 and April 2002.
Toyota said there have been no reports of accidents.
The recall affects a total of 397,263 small cars exported from Japan to Europe and North America.
