Toronto, Ontario – Toyota has announced that the 2008 Corolla will be available in three trim levels and with several option packages, including a Canada-specific 20th Anniversary Edition. The special model celebrates two decades of Corolla production in Canada.

Toyota broke ground for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc. in Cambridge, Ontario on May 6, 1987, and produced its first car, a blue Corolla Sedan, on November 30, 1988. Since then, the company has built almost two million Corollas for the North American market, and currently builds the Toyota Matrix and Corolla, the Lexus RX 350, and 1.8-litre four-cylinder engines.

The 20th Anniversary Edition, with a suggested retail price starting at $18,855, includes special badges, along with air conditioning, power locks and windows, cruise control, alloy wheels and power sunroof.
