Toyota improves 2008 FJ Cruiser with more safety features and special off-road package

Toronto, Ontario – Toyota Canada has introduced the 2008 FJ Cruiser, which is equipped with more safety features and a new Off-Road Package. The 2008 models start at $30,725.
“Canadians have embraced the FJ Cruiser since it debuted in March 2007,” says Tony Wearing, Managing Director of Toyota Canada Inc. “This year, we have an even more exciting line-up of FJ Cruisers. We have included many safety systems as standard equipment on all models and developed a super Off-Road Package for those looking for the ultimate adventure vehicle.”
New features include front seat side airbags, roll-sensing front and rear curtain airbags, rear wiper/washer system, tire pressure monitoring system and front seat side sun visors.
The new Off-Road Package adds active traction control, a rear differential lock (when ordered with automatic transmission), front and rear Bilstein shock absorbers, mud and snow tires, backup sensor, roof rack, and additional instrumentation, including compass, outside temperature gauge and inclinometer; the price is $35,820.
