Toronto, Ontario – A New Brunswick man has chosen a 2011 Toyota Tundra as his prize in the Toyota #1 Fan contest.
Michael Levesque of New Denmark, New Brunswick earned 4,300 online votes in the contest, which asked people to post on Toyota’s Facebook page about why they felt they were the company’s top fan. The new truck will be Levesque’s 44th Toyota, which started with his first car, a Corona he bought in 1975. As the winner of the contest, he had his choice of any new Toyota vehicle he wanted up to a value of $50,000.
“After more than 35 years and 40 Toyotas throughout my life, there are so many reasons why I keep coming back to the brand,” Levesque said. “I was certainly impressed with that first Corona, but after all that have followed – Corollas, Celicas, Land Cruisers, Tacomas, Tundras and Camrys – I’m proud to be chosen as Toyota’s #1 Fan. I thank Toyota Canada not only for the grand prize Tundra, but also for the many happy years of vehicle ownership I’ve enjoyed since 1975.”
Levesque won from over 1,500 eligible online entries, which came down to six finalists.
