Toyota Echo and 4Runner voted best-in-class at Guideauto.com

Toronto, Ontario – The Toyota Echo and 4Runner recently received
top honours in an online survey conducted by Guideauto.com. The awards were
presented to Toyota by Remy Rainville (editor), Sylvie Rainville (associate
editor) and Guy Corriveau (associate editor) of Guideauto.com at the 2003
Salon de l’Auto de Quebec.

Visitors to the website voted in 12 categories over a two-month period.
The top picks in each category became finalists for the four vehicle of the
year awards. Echo was chosen as the Best Economy Car of the year, and 4Runner
was named Best SUV.

“It is enormously satisfying to be chosen as the best by the toughest and
most important critics on the planet – our customers,” said Tony Wearing,
Group Vice President of Vehicle Sales at TCI.

Toyota recently announced that it will further enhance the
Echo lineup by adding a “fun, funky and functional” Echo
Hatchback in both 3- and 5-door configurations.

For 2003, the 4th generation 4Runner has an athletic new look, a choice of two powerful new engines (V6 and V8), advanced traction and stability technology, and a larger interior redesigned for maximum comfort and convenience on an all-new chassis.
