Torrance, California – Toyota Financial Services (TFS), in partnership with Toyota Motor Sales, has announced the donation of US$200,000 and two utility vehicles to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, which was affected by flooding.
TFS, which has had a large call centre in Cedar Rapids since 1991, presently has 600 employees who reside in the local area. While the centre itself has not been damaged by the flooding, many employees have lost their homes or are otherwise affected. The facility reopened yesterday with a reduced crew.
“Cedar Rapids is home to a large number of our associates, and of course we have many more customers and dealers who have also felt the brunt of this devastating weather,” said TFS president and CEO George Borst. “It is our hope that aid may quickly reach those who fell victim to the floods so that our employees and the city can begin to rebuild.”
