Toyota Canada wins ‘Ethics in Action’ award

Vancouver, B.C. – At the 11th annual Ethics in Action Awards event on Monday, a diverse group of BC-based businesses were celebrated for putting their ethics into action and were added to the growing number of businesses who have been
recognized as models of corporate social responsibility.

Out of 60 nominees and 28 finalists, three small to medium companies and
four large companies were awarded in three distinct categories; Community
Care, Environmental Excellence, and Overall Leadership. Toyota Canada won the award for Environmental Excellence.

Founded in BC in 1994 through a partnership between VanCity Credit Union
and the Workplace Centre for Spiritual and Ethical Development, the Ethics
in Action Awards have grown from a grass roots movement into a highly
respected and coveted award for large corporate companies doing work
internationally to local, small businesses making a difference in their
communities.

The Ethics in Action Awards were sponsored by VanCity Credit Union, The
