Toronto, Ontario – A new Nikkei Heritage Wing has officially opened in Toronto’s Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre (JCCC), made possible by Toyota Canada’s long-term support and commitment.

“Toyota Canada is committed to giving back in the communities in which we live, work and play,” said Yoichi Tomihara, president of Toyota Canada. “The new Nikkei Heritage Wing will serve as an important space to bring the community together.”

The wing is an open, multi-purpose space at the JCCC that will serve as a venue for community events. It is devoted to the promotion and display of Japanese Canadian history, culture and heritage, and houses a permanent photography exhibit called “The 5 Generations,” which explores the history of Japanese Canadians.
