Toyota Canada announces winner of Tundra “Terminator 3” Special Edition
Toronto, Ontario – Toyota Canada announced that Al Brost of Whitehorse, Yukon, has won a Toyota Tundra Terminator 3 Special Edition. Brost won the limited edition truck, created for Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, in a contest that ran in theatres across Canada when the movie opened. Duane Preece of MicMac Motors in Whitehorse presented the keys to the winner in a ceremony that took place last Friday.
The T3 Special Edition is recognizable by a monochrome black exterior treatment, unique mesh grille with offset “T3” identification, dual exhaust, metal dash accents and special Terminator 3 decals. TCI will sell just 200 of the limited edition trucks that will carry a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $40,800.
Everyone who saw Warner Bros.’ Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines on opening weekend was eligible to enter the contest. Entries were collected in ballot boxes at approximately 200 theatres across Canada and one ballot was drawn at random from each box. Those ballots were then sent to contest partner Tribute Entertainment, where a final draw determined the winner.
Based on the Toyota Tundra V8 4X4 Access Cab, the Terminator 3 Special Edition is powered by Toyota’s i Force 4.7-litre V8 engine. It’s the first 32- valve, double overhead camshaft V8 ever offered in a full size pickup, producing 245 horsepower at 4,800 rpm an 315 lb/ft of torque at 3,400 rpm. The Tundra T3 Special Edition is also equipped with Toyota’s Automatic
Disconnecting Differential (ADD) for all the benefits of convenient, shift-on- the-fly part-time 4WD.
Inside, the Tundra Terminator 3 Special Edition is well equipped with a 6- speaker AM/FM/CD audio system, air conditioning, full carpeting and cruise control.
