Latest BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands study puts Toyota ahead of BMW, Mercedes, and Honda.

Toyota and BMW keep swapping places in the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands study. This time, it is the Japanese automaker’s turn to take the top spot, thanks to its prevalence in the hybrid arena.

Many automakers made double digit percentage gains in the study, though BMW dropped 2 percent due to a lack of new product being released. The German marques gaining the most in the study were those who launched the most models over the last 12 months.

However, the absolute number one overall global brand continues to be Apple, with a brand value of $185.1 billion USD.
