Toyota announces pricing for 2003 Avalon sedan

Toronto, Ontario – Toyota Canada today announced that it will offer one, very well equipped version of its top-of-the-line Avalon flagship sedan in 2003. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) for the Avalon XLS, which appears in dealerships this week, is $45,560.

Outside, an all-new grille with chrome-plated accents, a redesigned front bumper with new fog lamps and a wider air intake provide a more sophisticated appearance. The rear view is updated with new combination tail lamps and redesigned chrome trim.

Interior refinements include a new layered meter gauge background. A leather-wrapped steering wheel with simulated wood-grain accents has been added to complement the standard leather seating. For even greater safety, the 2003 Avalon is also fitted with new dual-stage front air bags as part of the Supplemental Restraint System, standard rain-sensing windshield wipers and an electrochromic auto-dimming outside mirror on the driver’s side.

“Better looking and better equipped than ever, Avalon is the affordable luxury sedan that only Toyota could build,” said Tony Wearing, Group Vice President of Vehicle Sales and Marketing at TCI. “Avalon offers big-car roominess and ride quality, elegant interior amenities and the confidence of
total Toyota quality and safety in a package of exceptional value.”
