Toronto, Ontario – Toyota has announced the 2011 Corolla and Matrix, which will start at $15,450 and $16,715 respectively. The new models have enhanced design, performance features and standard Toyota Star Safety System.

“The 2011 Corolla and Matrix exemplify the new direction of Toyota by bringing together design, technology, performance and active safety features such as the Star Safety System,” said Warren Orton, director of Toyota Canada. “Every Corolla and Matrix sold in Canada is built here, and for 2011, Canadian drivers will enjoy even more features yet benefit from the same incredible value customers seek in these models.”

For 2011, the Corolla includes revised exterior styling, new interior features such as a new steering wheel, upgraded audio system and redesigned instrument panel, and new wheel designs and exterior paint colours.

All Matrix models now receive steering wheel-mounted audio controls, while all-wheel drive models now feature standard cruise control. New option packages include fog lamps, power sunroof and upgraded audio systems.

The Toyota Star Safety System, standard equipment on both models, includes vehicle stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist and Smart Stop Technology.

The 2011 models will go on sale in January.
