Toronto, Ontario – Toronto-area GO Transit will waive the fare on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 for all police, fire and emergency services personnel who are travelling to pay their respects to York Region police officer Constable Garrett Styles, who was killed in the line of duty last week.

Emergency services workers from across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area can ride for free on the GO system to attend the tribute and funeral in Newmarket. They are asked to identify themselves by wearing their uniforms or carrying identification.

The funeral will be held at the Ray Twinney Recreation Complex in Newmarket at 1 p.m. on July 5.

GO Bus route 65 from Union Station stops at Eagle and Yonge Streets, and routes 66, 68 and 69 stop nearby at the Newmarket GO Bus Terminal. For more information, visit GO Transit or call 1-888-438-6646.
