Toronto-area Autocross Championship aimed at combating street racing

Brampton, Ontario – An Autocross Championship planned for August 20th in Brampton, Ontario is the kick-off of an initiative to combat street racing. The organizers of the YKW Autocross Championship say that it is a “low-cost, legal, and safe alternative to street racing.”

There will be eighty spots for car owners, at a cost of $25 if pre-registered, or $30 at the door. The event champion will win a set of performance wheels. Drivers will have three qualifying rounds, with the fastest times advancing to the elimination round. For more information, visit
