Next year, Tesla may roll out a ultra-premium high performance version of the Model S with all-wheel drive, sources say.
It would be perfect for a Canadian winter.
According to sources speaking with The Verge, Tesla will roll out an all-wheel drive version of their wildly successful Model S sedan in the guise of an ultra-premium high performance version, equalling or besting the current range topping model.
This makes sense as Tesla is readying an all-wheel drive solution for the upcoming Model X electric SUV.
The sedan with all-wheel drive is expected to be all-expensive, though no numbers were quoted. Currently, the Model S P85 retails for just north of $100,000 before taxes, so don’t expect a new all-weather version to be as plentiful as your neighbourhood Subaru.
