Tennis star, Rafael Nadal, to become spokesperson for Kia Motors

Seoul, South Korea – Kia Motors has announced that Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal will act as a paid spokesperson for the automaker. The 20-year-old Nadal will appear in Kia’s global advertising campaigns in television and print until 2008, and will take part in various initiatives held by the automaker, including major international motor shows.

Nadal made his professional debut in 2001 and won ten titles, including back-to-back French Open titles in 2005 and 2006.

Kia sponsors the Australian Open and Davis Cup of tennis, and also provided its Opirus sedan and Carnival minivan, sold as the Amanti and Sedona respectively in North America, as courtesy vehicles for tennis stars Maria Sharapova and Venus Williams at a recent promotional match in Korea.
