Targa Newfoundland TV special to air this Saturday

Toronto, Ontario – A one-hour TV special on the second annual Targa Newfoundland international car rally will air on the Global Television Network on Saturday, January 31 at 7:00 pm (Eastern). The show is simulcast on NTV in Newfoundland.

Entitled “Targa Newfoundland: An Automobile Adventure”, the show is narrated by Toronto Star journalist/competitor Jim Kenzie. The fast-paced documentary follows nearly 60 intrepid teams, aboard cars as diverse as a Citroen 21 and an exotic Ruf Porsche 911, as they take a high-speed journey through the rugged island province. Entries from as far afield as New Zealand, Australia, the Netherlands, the U.K. and the Bahamas joined U.S. and Canadian teams in two week-long competitions in September of 2003.

In addition to Jim, watch for Canadian scribes Paul Williams, Gabriel Gelinas, Bob English, Brian Harper, and American journalists Jack Baker and Pete Stout.
