Richmond Hill, Ontario – Suzuki has announced the launch of its new 2006 Grand Vitara, which it claims has nothing in common with the outgoing model but its name. Completely new from the ground up, the Grand Vitara offers a more powerful standard V6 engine, comprehensive safety, and advanced handling characteristics.
The new Grand Vitara is available with a full-time four-wheel-drive system, or a four-mode, dual-range 4WD system. Features include side curtain airbags, standard electronic stability program, anti-lock brakes, CD/MP3 satellite radio-ready audio system and an available SmartPass keyless entry and start system. The standard engine is a 2.7-litre V6 that makes 185 horsepower.
The Grand Vitara is offered in four model trim versions, ranging from $24,495 to $29,995.
