Hamamatsu, Japan – Suzuki Motor Corporation has announced it will exhibit three new models at the 62nd Frankfurt Motor Show, to be held in September. The three are the Splash, Concept Kizashi and SX4 WRC.
The Splash is a production car, based on the Project Splash concept exhibited at the Paris Motor Show in 2006, and is scheduled to be launched in Europe in 2008. It is the first model in the second phase of Suzuki’s world strategy, following the initial phase of sportiness with the Swift, Grand Vitara and SX4; the Splash launches a new development focus on families with active lifestyles. In Europe, the Splash will use a 1.0-litre three-cylinder or 1.2-litre four-cylinder gasoline engine, or 1.3-litre direct-injection diesel.
The Concept Kizashi, making its world premiere, marks the third phase of the world strategy, with full-size passenger cars.
The SX4 WRC will compete in the World Rally Championship from the 2008 season; in October 2007, it will be test-run in the Rallye de France in preparation for its full-season debut.
