Subaru wins International Engine of the Year award

Mississauga, Ontario – Subaru’s turbocharged 2.5-litre horizontally-opposed four-cylinder engine has won the International Engine of the Year award in the 2.0- to 2.5-litre engine class, announced recently at the Engine Expo in Stuttgart, Germany.

The engine, used in the Impreza, Legacy, Outback and Forester models, is the first horizontally-opposed engine to win the award. Other class competitors included BMW, Honda, Mazda and Toyota. The award is judged by a panel of 61 journalists from 29 countries.
