Montreal, Quebec – Subaru Canada has unveiled the new 2013 Subaru BRZ at the Montreal International Auto Show. It is the first time the rear-wheel drive sports coupe has been shown in Canada.

The new model is set to arrive in dealerships in June.

The BRZ uses an all-new, horizontally-opposed Subaru Boxer engine designed to produce 200 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque, positioned even lower than in other Subaru models to give the BRZ one of the lowest possible centres of gravity on the market today. The compact, lightweight engine also features new direct injection and port injection technology for maximum efficiency and performance, and will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic with Sport mode, and paddle shifters for manual mode.
