Subaru launches Subaru-Earth environmental Web site
Mississauga, Ontario – Subaru Canada Inc., in conjunction with Subaru of America and Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc., has announced the launch of Subaru-Earth, a stand-alone Web site dedicated to the company’s environmental programs and initiatives in North America. The site can be found at Subaru-Earth.com.
The site, which went “live” on Earth Day, will be updated on a regular basis with details about Subaru and environmental laws and regulations, its conservation activities in reducing, reusing and recycling materials, implementation of effective pollution prevention systems, and more.
“At Subaru, we believe that corporations have a responsibility to minimize the negative environmental impact of their commercial activities, and increasing numbers of consumers want to be sure that they are doing business with environmentally responsible companies,” says Katsuhiro Yokoyama, president, chairman and CEO of Subaru Canada. “At this new Web site, anyone interested in Subaru can find out more about how we continually strive to reduce the environmental impact of all our operations, from product development through manufacturing, usage and end-of-life disposal.”
