Some Toyota Tundra truck engines experience camshaft failures
Vancouver, British Columbia – Camshafts have failed in at least twenty 5.7-litre V8 engines installed the new full-size Tundra pickup truck, according to a report in Automotive News. The likely cause is a “metallurgical defect in the casting,” a Toyota spokesperson told Automotive News. Toyota is trying to determine how many of the 30,000 engines it has built so far may be affected.
