Smarts go on cross-Canada tour

Toronto, Ontario – The smart Division of Mercedes-Benz Canada is kicking off its smart Test Drive Tour Friday, October 5th.

Travelling to seven major cities across Canada, the tour will start in the East with Montreal and Ottawa as the first two stops. It will then move on to Toronto and, then head to Vancouver via Edmonton and Calgary to conclude in Victoria on November 6th, 2007.

Smart Division Manager, Richard Trevisan said, “The purpose of this test drive program is to put consumers behind the wheel of the car so they can experience first hand the fortwo’s driving characteristics, its comfortable interior and its serious commitment to safety and ecology. We are hosting these test drives in easily accessible central locations where the smart Canada team is eagerly looking forward to answering all types of questions from Canadian consumers that will test drive the fortwo.”

The traveling smart tour will move across the country in an 18 m truck/trailer that houses interactive smart displays, five smart fortwos (four for test drive purposes and one for static display), a cut-away tridion safety cell, event signage, staging and registration tents.
