Sirius Canada and Canadian Satellite Radio announce French and English stations for Canadians
Montreal, Quebec – Sirius Canada and Canadian Satellite Radio (CSR) have announced that they will each commit to carry an equal number of French and English Canadian channels as part of their initial program offerings. Both companies are required to launch their service with a minimum of eight Canadian channels; in addition, Sirius and CSR will commit to equal French and English programming if new Canadian channels are added in the first 24 months.
Sirius also confirmed that three of the four French channels will be music, and the two companies have committed more than $57 million in talent development funding.
