Shell Canada’s gasoline achieves top tier designation
Calgary, Alberta – Shell Canada has announced that it is the first Canada-wide fuel producer and marketer to meet “Top Tier Detergent Gasoline” standards, as established by General Motors, BMW, Honda and Toyota.
“These four auto manufacturers understand how quality gasoline affects vehicle performance and have collectively raised the bar for fuels in Canada with Top Tier,” said Eymbert Vaandering, Vice-President, Retail, Shell Canada Products. “We’re constantly in pursuit of the cleanest, most efficient fuels possible and our newly acquired TOP TIER designation is proof positive that we’re on the right track.”
Achieving the status means that detergency levels in each grade of Shell Canada’s gasoline are higher than that set by the Canadian General Standards Board.
