Torrance, California – The 2011 Scion tC sports coupe has earned the highest rating of five stars for crashworthiness with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Scion brand is new to Canada for the 2011 model year.
The New Car Assessment Program, a consumer information program created by NHTSA, rates vehicles to determine crash and rollover safety in tests conducted at NHTSA research facilities.
Toyota said that all Scion models meet or exceed the safety requirements of the U.S. federal government and NHTSA. The tC comes standard with eight airbags, anti-lock brakes, vehicle stability control and Smart Stop Technology.
