IMG_0907Toronto, Ontario – Scion has officially gone on sale in Canada, with 45 dealers in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver offering the new entry-level brand from Toyota.

“There’s a new demographic of drivers in Canada, younger drivers who demand a new type of vehicle and a new style of doing business,” said Larry Hutchinson, director of Scion in Canada. “And today, they can finally get that from Scion. Scion now offers a full lineup of distinctively-styled, well-equipped models, a unique in-dealer and online experience, and a new business model designed to address the needs of a new generation.”

The company plans to expand its dealer network across the country, and said that vehicle buyers will eventually find Scion in any Canadian city with a vibrant youth culture.

The 2011 models include the tC Sport Coupe, xB Utility Vehicle, and xD subcompact hatchback. The micro iQ hatchback will be available for 2012. All models come with a high standard level of equipment, including air conditioning, power windows, locks and mirrors, premium Pioneer stereo with MP3 and iPod outlets, electronic stability control and six or eight airbags. Buyers can customize them with more than 75 Scion Authorized Accessories, including a full line of Toyota Racing Development (TRD) performance equipment.
