Safety organization releases more crash test results

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has posted its third batch of model year 2003 New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) crash test results on the agency’s web-site: www.nhtsa.dot.gov/.

New model year 2003 ratings released for frontal impact are BMW X5 4×4 four-door utility, BMW Z4 convertible, Cadillac Escalade 4×4 four-door utility, Cadillac Escalade EXT 4×4 four door utility, Cadillac ESV 4×4 four-door utility, Chevrolet Avalanche 4×4 four-door utility, Chevrolet Suburban 1500 4×4 four-door utility, Chevrolet Tahoe 4×4 four door utility, Ford Expedition 4×4 four-door utility, GMC Yukon 4×4 four-door utility, GMC Yukon XL 4×4 four-door utility, GMC Yukon Denali 4×4 four-door utility, GMC Yukon Denali XL 4×4 four-door utility, Honda Element 4×4 four-door utility, Isuzu Rodeo 4×4 four-door utility, Kia Sorento 4×4 four-door utility, Lincoln Navigator 4×4 four-door utility, Lincoln Town Car four-door, Mercury Grand Marquis four-door car, Mitsubishi Outlander 4×4 four-door utility, Nissan Murano 4×4 four-door utility, Toyota 4-Runner 4×4 four-door utility, and Toyota Sequoia 4×4 four-door utility.

New model year 2003 ratings released for side impact are the BMW X5 four-door utility, Mercury Grand Marquis four-door car, Mitsubishi Montero Sport four-door utility, Subaru Legacy four-door car, Toyota 4-Runner four-door utility and Toyota Highlander four-door utility. The first model year 2004 ratings released for both frontal impact and side impact are for the Chrysler Pacifica 4×4 four-door utility.
