Detroit, Michigan – The Saab Aero X concept car, which made its world debut at the Geneva Auto Show in February, has been named “Best of Show” by the editors of AutoWeek Magazine. The Aero X will make its North American debut at the New York International Auto Show in April.
Honouring Saab’s aeronautical roots, the Aero X uses a cockpit canopy, giving its driver full 180-degree vision and easy entry and exit from the low-slung cabin. It is powered by a 400 hp twin-turbo V6 engine fueled entirely by ethanol. Other features include three-dimensional graphic images on Swedish glass in place of traditional instrumentation, LED interior and exterior lighting, and carbon fibre bodywork.
