Rolls-Royce welcomes its first royal visitor to Goodwood

Goodwood, England – The Duke of York, in his capacity as the U.K. Special Representative for Trade and Investment (UKTI), became the first royal visitor to Rolls-Royce’s Goodwood facility yesterday. The UKTI encourages the international trade of British goods and services.

The Duke of York arrived at the plant in a Rolls-Royce Phantom, where he toured the plant and met a number of employees. The facility produces the Phantom; around half are sold in North America, followed by the Middle East, the U.K., Japan and China. In 2005, almost 800 were sold worldwide, the highest number of Rolls-Royces sold in 15 years.
