Goodwood, England – Rolls-Royce has announced it will make the Italian debut of its new Phantom Drophead Coupe at the annual Concorzo d’Eleganza at the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este on April 21-22.

In 2004, Rolls-Royce showed its experimental 100EX at the event; based on customer reaction to the car during the worldwide tour which followed, the company launched a production model loosely based on the concept vehicle.

Rolls-Royce will also use the show to mark the 100th anniversary of the launch of the Silver Ghost, a 1907 “40/50” Rolls-Royce with silver-painted coachwork and silver-plated fittings. The name was later adopted for all 40/50 hp cars made between 1907 and 1925.
