Blenheim, Ontario – Ontario’s RM Auction has announced that, effective immediately, it is withdrawing from the Toronto classic car auction held at the International Centre in Mississauga.

Dan Spendick, the event’s founder and former RM consignment specialist, has assumed sole interest in the Toronto event.

RM said that it is a global leader in the presentation of catalogue-quality vintage motor car auction events and single-owner collections, and that its decision is consistent with its efforts to more clearly define its brand identity and expand its presence in the European market.

“We’re streamlining the business by increasingly focusing our expertise on the investment-grade segment of the collector car market and exploring international growth opportunities,” said Rob Myers, chairman and founder of RM Auctions.

As a result of the transaction, Spendick will form a new and separate corporate entity, called Collector Car Productions. The new company will present the Al Webster collection on October 16 and 17 in Bradford West Gwillimbury, Ontario, followed by the fall Classic Car Auction of Toronto on October 23 to 25 at the International Centre in Mississauga.
