RM Auctions to hold gala event and auction at Hershey, Pennsylvania museum
Blenheim, Ontario – RM Auctions has announced it will join with the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) to host a gala charity event and vehicle auction in conjunction with the AACA National Fall Meet, held this week in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The no-reserve sale will include rare and unrestored automobiles from the estate collection of Helen Swigart.
The gala “Night at the Museum” charity event will be held Wednesday, October 10 at the AACA Museum in Hershey, and will feature a charity auction of exclusive automotive “tour experiences”. Among them are a tour of Jay Leno’s Big Dog Garage collection and tickets to a taping of the Tonight Show; a personal tour of the Henry Ford Museum; a tour of private car collections in Philadelphia; and a luxury spa package at the Hershey Lodge. Proceeds will benefit the AACA Museum.
RM’s inaugural “Vintage Motor Cars at Hershey” auction will be held October 12 and 13, 2007. The auction coincides with the AACA Fall Meet, one of the largest and oldest antique automobile shows and flea markets in the U.S.; it has been held annually since 1955.
Tickets to the Night at the Museum are US$125 per person; entry to the vehicle auction is by catalog only, at US$80. For more information, visit RMAuctions.com.
