Quebec, Quebec – CAA-Quebec is offering road users the chance to report any type of irregularity on the roads, anywhere in Quebec, at any time.
Road Problem Watch enables anyone using the roads – motorists, professional drivers, motorcyclists, cyclists, public transit users and pedestrians – to report potholes, worn-out traffic markings, inadequate street lighting, uncleared snow or insufficient signage. The forum is accessible at Road Problem Watch.
“Despite the heavy spending that governments put into them, there is always work to be done to get our roads into good condition and make them safe,” said Sophie Gagnon, senior director of public and government relations at CAA-Quebec. “The Road Problem Watch site lets users report a problem or flaw, and helps the proper authorities take the corrective measures needed in the areas brought to their attention.”
The site lets road users report problems which are then relayed to the municipality concerned or to Transports Québec. Photos can also be attached, and users can add information or comments on situations that are already listed. An interactive provincial map allows viewers to see road problems that have been pinpointed.
Road Problem watch replaces Pothole Watch following its eleven years online.
