Mississauga, Ontario – The redesigned 2008 Subaru Impreza has received the highest “Good” rating for frontal impact protection from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The evaluation is based on results of frontal offset crash tests at 40 mph (64 km/h).
The Impreza tests indicated a low risk of any significant injuries in a crash of this severity.
“When owners and their families get into a Subaru Impreza, they can be confident that they’re surrounding themselves with the highest levels of occupant protection available,” said Katsuhiro Yokoyama, president, chairman and CEO of Subaru Canada. “And that’s in addition to the outstanding active safety features that help drivers avoid accidents altogether.”
