Windsor, Ontario – The Ram Truck brand will now begin offering customers an optional spray-on bedliner for 2010 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks. Dealers will be able to order the factory-installed upgrade beginning immediately.
The bedliner option will be available on all trim levels, cab sizes and bed lengths, and has a suggested retail price of $450.
“We’ve listened to our customers, how they are using their trucks and what new features they’d like to see, and we expect the spray-on bedliner to become one of our most popular Ram Truck options,” said Ed Broadbear, vice-president of marketing for Chrysler Canada. “With this factory-installed, factory-warrantied option, we’ve taken our new lineup of award-winning Ram Trucks and made them even better.”
The bedliners come with a three-year, 60,000-kilometre warranty. They are 4.5 kg lighter than drop-in bedliners and offer reduced noise and vibration, chemical and abrasion resistance, improved in-bed traction and an improvement in perceived value, the company said. The material is sprayed to a standard thickness of three millimetres on horizontal surfaces, including the tailgate, and two millimetres on vertical surfaces.
