Auburn Hills, Michigan – Ram has built its first 2012 Cargo Van (C/V), a new model that builds on 25 years of minivan engineering and the Ram Truck brand.

The company said that the Ram C/V offers many competitive advantages to small businesses, providing a Class 1 commercial vehicle-leading cargo payload of 1,800 lbs (816 kg) and category-exclusive towing capability of up to 3,600 lbs (1,632 kg).

The van features a commercial-tuned ride and heavy-duty suspension, along with a heavy-duty radiator and transmission oil cooler, unique hydraulic power-assist rack-and-pinion steering, front anti-sway bar and rear twist-beam axle with coil springs. It is built in Chrysler’s plant in Windsor, Ontario.
