Montreal, Quebec – Montreal’s Château Ramezay historic site and museum is presenting a history of motoring in the province through its license plates.

The display includes a De Dion-Bouton, which in 1906 was the first car to be registered in Quebec. Its Q1 number was painted directly onto the vehicle.

The show, From Q1 to Je me souviens, a History of License Plates, runs from now until June 26, 2011 and traces the evolution of motoring in Quebec from the 20th century onwards.
