Public invited to test-drive Hyundai fuel cell car at California rally

Fountain Valley, California – Hyundai Motor Company’s Tucson Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) is joining the fifth annual California Fuel Cell Partnership Road Rally, which runs until October 8 and travels from Orange County to San Diego to showcase the latest in fuel cell vehicles. During the tour, there will be multiple opportunities for the public to learn about the technology and also to drive the vehicles.

The event marks the Tucson’s second year of participation; it is Hyundai’s second-generation fuel cell vehicle, building on the first-generation Santa Fe FCEV. Advances on the Tucson include a higher output fuel cell and the ability to start in freezing temperatures, a major breakthrough for fuel cell vehicles.
