Ajax, Ontario – Volkswagen Canada has announced the all-new 2011 Jetta, which will start at $15,875 when it goes on sale in September.

“The new 2011 Volkswagen Jetta, with its highly competitive price starting at $15,875, becomes the entry model to the Volkswagen brand in Canada,” said John White, president and CEO of Volkswagen Group Canada. “It is completely redesigned inside and out, and offers best-in-class cargo space and rear legroom. And it offers the only clean diesel sedan available in the compact segment in Canada.”

Developed in Germany and built in Mexico, the all-new model is longer than the Jetta it replaces, with increased rear legroom. It is available with four engines, from 115 to 200 horsepower, and with the 140-horsepower TDI Clean Diesel engine, it achieves fuel economy of 4.6 L/100 km on the highway, making it one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles on the market.

In Canada, the Jetta will be available as the Trendline, Trendline+, Comfortline, Sportline and Highline trims, all with electronic stability control. The feature will be standard on all 2011 Volkswagen models in Canada.
