Pricing announced for all-new 2007 Mini Cooper and Cooper S

Whitby, Ontario – Mini Canada has announced that the all-new 2007 Mini Cooper and Mini Cooper S will arrive in showrooms today, with an MSRP unchanged from the 2006 models. The 2007 Mini Cooper will start at $25,900, while the Mini Cooper S starts at $30,600.
Both Mini models incorporate brand-new powertrains, all-new interiors and muscular exterior enhancements, along with significant improvements in performance, comfort and safety.
The 2007 Cooper uses a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine developing 118 hp and 114 lb-ft of torque, while the Cooper S uses a turbocharged engine featuring direct fuel injection, making 172 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque. The Cooper S, equipped with standard six-speed manual transmission, accelerates from zero to 100 km/hr in 7.1 seconds.
Other features include electric power assisted steering, a “sport” mode button which activates a more dynamic steering control map and more progressive throttle response, available six-speed automatic transmission, push-button start, auxiliary audio input, SIRIUS Satellite radio pre-wiring and a new range of upholstery options. Both models feature standard Dynamic Stability Control, 16-inch alloy wheels with all-season run-flat tires, and front and rear fog lights; standard features on the Cooper S include auto-dimming interior mirror, automatic headlamps with rain sensor, and white indicator lights.
