Porsche announces new Cayman S sports car

Atlanta, Georgia – Porsche will be adding a new sports car, based on the Boxster, for 2006. The new two-seater, named Cayman S, is positioned and priced to slot between the 911 Carrera and the Boxster S.

The Cayman S, named for the small caiman crocodile, will be powered by a 3.4-litre, 295 hp, six-cylinder boxer engine mounted in the middle of the chassis and will feature aggressive, fixed-roof styling.
