Atlanta, Georgia – Porsche has announced that its four-door Panamera Sports Coupe will be put into production at its plant in Leipzig, Germany, which currently produces the Cayenne model range. The plant also produced the recently-discontinued Carrera GT.
Engines for the Panamera will be built in Porsche’s main plant in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, while the Volkswagen Plant in Hanover will supply the painted bodies. The Panamera is scheduled to enter the market in 2009 and will be Porsche’s first-ever premium-class four-door sports coupe.
