Oshawa, Ontario – General Motors of Canada has announced pricing for the new turbocharged 2007 Solstice GXP, which will start at $34,910. The new model goes on sale this month.

The GXP is powered by an Ecotec 2.0-litre turbo direct-injection engine, with variable valve timing and cam phasers on both intake and exhaust camshafts for a wide range of valve timing in low and high rpm ranges, and a dual-scroll turbocharger for high boost levels and reduced turbo lag. The engine produces 260 hp at 5300 rpm, and 260 lb-ft of torque at 2500 rpm; the Solstice GXP will accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in approximately 5.7 seconds.
