Pontiac announces pricing for new 2007 Wave

Oshawa, Ontario – General Motors of Canada has announced that the new 2007 Pontiac Wave sedan, which goes on sale in August, will have a starting price of $12,950. Like its sister car, the Chevrolet Aveo, the Wave has an all-new exterior design with a refined interior.

The Wave, a model unique to Canada, uses a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine producing 103 hp and 107 lb-ft of torque, with a five-speed manual transmission or available four-speed automatic. In base form, the Wave features dual-stage front airbags, CD/MP3 player with auxiliary input jack, driver’s seat lumbar support and armrest, 60/40 folding rear seat and tilt steering.

The SE, which starts at $15,450, adds air conditioning, heated power mirrors, power windows and locks with keyless entry, fog lamps, cruise control, and sunroof. Both models can be upgraded with a Wi Special Edition package of 15-inch aluminum wheels, trunk-mounted spoiler, six-speaker premium sound system, wheel-mounted audio controls and an Apple iPod, for $1,095.
